The competition is divided into two categories.
Category A: Competitors born after August 1, 1992
Category B: Competitors born after August 1, 1987
Competitors may perform in one category only.
Competitors who have already won a First Prize in a former International Competition for Young Pianists in Ettlingen may not compete again in the same category.
